Fourth Sunday of Lent - 2023
Today's gospel passage is taken from John's gospel Chapter 9:1-41. It is a lengthy reading yet it is so rich in its content, but in some ways confusing. Why does Jesus spit on the ground to make mud to anoint the eyes of the blind man? To help us unpack this text I have added a link to an excellent video by Doctor Brant Pitre.
Also, I have added a link to an earlier post dealing with this same passage.

The Man Born Blind
So they say "who sinned, this man or his parents?” And Jesus says "neither, neither this man nor his parents, but his blindness in this case is so that the work of God might be manifest in him."
